We all react to situations differently. In my fiction, I like to deal comedically with themes that pose challenges to the characters. In the case of "H," the main character, Joan, must find a way to cope with this widespread "epidemic" that causes psychological problems--so that she can live a successful professional and personal life. I hope many other sufferers of herpes will read my book and take heart, at the same time having a few laughs as we poke fun at the environment that Joan finds herself in. A lot of us can relate to these stages of life and career!
